Artist Statement

Painting in an expressionist style, I create abstract, floral and landscape paintings infused with bright colors. I’m inspired by the beauty of nature - a view, pattern, texture, light cast on an object and the emotions that are evoked. My creative process evolves intuitively from what I can only describe as a blissful ‘altered state’ - blending my chosen colors directly on canvas, watching them merge before me, layer upon layer, leads the way. Adding my signature whimsical dots completes each journey.

 

While I continue to explore this fascination with paint, I remain humbled having my artwork not only awarded but knowing that wherever displayed my pieces bring a sense of joy in this sometimes hectic world in which we live.
